Preventing a Lost Generation of Children Session Description
Then, we’ll join Vivian Onano for our keynote session. Do we need a Marshall Plan to counteract the devastating impact of the global health and economic crisis? UNICEF notes that without a coordinated global effort to “prevent, mitigate and respond” to the pandemic’s aftermath we could lose an entire generation of children. Vivian Onano is a social entrepreneur, humanitarian, and advocate who fights for the rights of the disenfranchised, including women, girls and youth around the world. Ms. Onano will share her story of growing up as young girl in Nyanza Province, Kenya, how she became a global youth activist by the age of 25, speaking at the United Nations and dining with former First Lady Michelle Obama, and how we must now mobilize to save our youth.
