Breakout Session
The Role of State Legislatures in the Evolving Energy Sector
2:00 PM – 3:15 PM ET
The energy sector is rapidly changing—from the growth in natural gas and clean energy to the evolving electricity market structures and the expansion of distributed energy resources (such as rooftop solar and energy storage). State legislatures are considering these topics and the role state energy policies play as the sector evolves. In addition, threats from natural disasters, cyberattacks and other events highlight the importance state legislatures play to support and protect critical energy infrastructure. Join this interactive session for an overview of the energy transformation, the key energy policies being considered and the biggest issues that state legislatures will be tackling in 2021.
